Inside the Signal — HIGH SCHOOL FRIENDS RUN A NEWSPAPER
“Inside the signal” is an educational series of short animations talking about media & visual communication subjects. The target group oscillates between 8 and 12-year-old kids. The story shows the group of friends who create school newspaper together. The main characters include photographers, writers, cartoonists and more. It's a spark to have a deeper conversation about visual communication, media literacy, etc.
High-school friends — Different characters in one group
Our aim was to create a dozen or so group with different characteristics. Every person in the series has different interests. This multiplies ideas, but also forces them to get along with each other. We wanted to present this problem on the level of designing the characters.
Backgrounds — SCHOOL, CLASSROOMS, STADIUMS AND MANY MORE
Our aim was to show an environment of high school students, in time of lessons and after them. We were looking for good method to make the scenery streamlined, along with highlighting the diversity of our heroes. See below how me did it.
Assets and graphic elements — Stuff of everyday use
School does not only consist of classrooms, but also objects, instruments and components, that build a world for our characters. See below a brief overview of what we had to do
